CAO of WNY Adds to their Leadership Team

(BUFFALO, NY) – The Community Action Organization of WNY (CAO) has hired two employees who will be part of their leadership team. Both employees bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to CAO which will help the organization make an even larger impact in the community.

President and CEO of CAO, L. Nathan Hare, and Senior VP Program Administration, and Catherine M. Roberts, are excited to welcome Drew Canfield and Joseph Milazzo to the CAO family.

Drew Canfield, ready for her new role as the Director of Housing Development, strives to improve equity, catalyze revitalization, and create economic opportunity in Erie County. A graduate of the University at Buffalo, Canfield received her Master of Urban Planning degree and Advanced Certificate in Sustainability. Her experience as a Board Member for the Clean Air Coalition of WNY and The Tool Library provides her the expertise in public service that will help lead CAO into the “new normal.”

Joseph Milazzo, the incoming Director of Employment and Training, has a passion for helping people in the community who are looking to obtain employment. Milazzo has a decade of experience working in employment, training programs, and workforce development. A graduate of Buffalo State College, he possesses degrees in both Social Studies and Political science. Joseph Milazzo’s experience in developing wraparound and career service models for the Northland Workforce Training Center provides him with the understanding of employment and training necessary for this position.

“These two individuals encompass the experience and passion to improve lives in our community by promoting self-sufficiency,” Hare said. “Drew’s experience in public service and Joseph’s work in employment training will further CAO’s ability to impact our community in an even more efficient way.”

The Community Action Organization of WNY is thrilled to add Canfield and Milazzo to the team to help lead community-wide efforts moving forward.
