Persons who are not members of the CAO Board, agency regulators or staff of the CAO may attend if invited by the Board.
The Community Action Organization of Western New York is seeking candidates from Erie County to serve as a low-income representative* on our board of directors. The CAO of WNY is a private, non-profit 501c3 corporation serving Erie and Niagara Counties in upstate New York. Our board of directors is comprised of 15 members from three different population sectors, Public Private and Low-Income.
Interested parties must complete a Board Membership Questionnaire available here online or by downloading a copy to print by clicking here. Questionnaires are also available at the CAO headquarters during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm). Completed questionnaires can be returned to CAO by email, mail or in person to the attention of LaDonna Huff at:

*Low-income representatives are chosen in accordance with democratic selection procedures adequate to assure that these board members are representative of low-income individuals and families. Low-income representatives need not be low-income themselves, but must be selected by CAO clients and serve the interests of CAO clients and the low-income people throughout our service area.
