Sandra Dee Garner has been the Senior Residents Counselor At Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) at the Wende House and Glenwood House since 2018. In addition to supervising mental health care, Garner is also involved in writer care plans and coordinating with mental health and medical providers. Her primary role in this position is to make sure that the building is safe for consumers and up to state standards. Garner strives to educate the community on health and wellness as well as helping to seek education opportunities and maintain employment.
Sandra Garner has formerly been associated with Waterfront Health Care as a licensed practical nurse for 10 years caring for sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled community members. She has also worked as a Case Manager with Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Center for the Balance Incentive Program which helps people find housing and link with medical and mental health professionals, and organize necessary medical transportation. In 2016 Garner became the Medication Liaison Coordinator for Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC). Here, Garner supervised medications, annual physicals and MARs were up to date. Additionally, she also helped rewrite the medication policy for the organization.
A 1985 graduate of Bennett High School, Garner began working as a personal care aide and later became a certified nursing assistant. She attended Erie Community College and graduated with a degree in Social Science in 2002. Garner later attended BOCES in 2003 and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004.
Sandra Dee Garner is the loving mother of 5 children.
