WTP Organizational Goals

  1. Support academic improvement of the Children of our members
      • We will ask all members to know their child’s reading and math scores on NYS standardized test
  2. Support academic improvement of the Schools of our members
      • We will ask all members to know their schools standing. Whether school is in good standing or failing.
  3. Publish Annual Teacher Performance report cards
      • Based on Parent survey and Student survey
  4. Publish Annual Principal Performance report cards
      • Based on Parent survey and Student survey

Primary Goal for 2020-21 School Year

  1. Ensure that our members children are benefiting from remote/hybrid instruction.
      • We will do a survey of the Remote/hybrid instruction of our members.
      • Organize around the results of the survey.
  2. Publish the results or our survey and research on the quality of remote/hybrid instruction provided to our children.
  3. Advocate for policy change, budget allocations and parent voice at all tables.

Subject: As schools prepare for the second semester of this year, parent, civil rights, faith, education, and business and civic organizations will hold a forum to hear directly from Buffalo’s leaders about current equity efforts in light of the “dual public health crises” of the coronavirus pandemic and systemic racism that our state and nation are facing.
