Strategy
The CAO of WNY Five-Year Strategic Plan focuses on addressing the needs of the communities in Erie and Niagara Counties that we serve, as well as the organizational needs of the CAO itself to enhance our achievement of the agency’s vision, mission, and goals. By assessing the requirements of the Erie and Niagara County communities, the CAO of WNY has outlined specific areas where direct redress is possible, along with opportunities for indirect services through partnerships and collaborative relationships.
The CAO of WNY has crafted a comprehensive profile outlining our agency’s strengths, limitations, opportunities, and threats (SLOT) through internal assessments, collaboration with the agency’s administrators, and engagement with our Board of Directors. Additionally, insights have been gathered from surveys conducted among the communities of customers/clients, agency partners, volunteers, and direct service staff.
Through a thorough analysis of this framework, encompassing insights, observations, research, and experiences, the CAO of WNY has developed a strategic plan outlining priorities for the next five years. This plan, which is fluid, defines how the agency will operate to realize its vision of "promoting opportunities for low-income families and individuals to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through advocacy, partnerships, and services within the community.
