Promoting the self-sufficiency of our youth through thoughtful, engaging and enriching education.

Youth Services

CAO of WNY’s Youth Services provides academic enrichment, positive character development and leadership training to K through 12th grade students across Western New York.

For K through 8th grade students, we offer after-school and summer camp programs focused on hands-on exploratory learning. For high school students, we offer summer youth employment and training opportunities. Our Education Task Force offers college scholarships and meaningful interactive workshops for College & Career Readiness.

At both levels, our goal is to provide the hope and support children need to grow into happy, healthy, self-reliant adults.

We also support low-to-moderate income families struggling to find affordable childcare. To the best of our abilities, we apply for resources to meet this need and prevent further loss of income. With the public's continued support, we plan to continue and expand our work in this area. In total for all our programs, Youth Services is proud to support about 2,500 families.

Services

NURTURE Academy

Neighborhoods United for Restoration, Teaching, Upliftment, Recreation, and Education, or NURTURE, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers have provided an education-based after-school program for grades K-8.

NURTURE Summer Camp

Our NURTURE Summer Camp builds on the foundation of NURTURE Academy after-school programs. Children K-8 have a fun, safe place to go from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday during the summer, and parents can confidently send their kids to an engaging and enriching environment as they work. Every activity is intentionally designed to provide meaningful support, and there are event two field trips every week.

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is a summer camp for youth between 11 and 14. It’s designed to bridge the gap when they feel too old for traditional summer camp but aren’t quite old enough for Summer Youth Employment..

Education Task Force

The Education Task Force encourages and supports high school students on their journey by providing workshops, community events, and scholarships that encourage academic success and self-responsibility.

Community Engagement Team

Our Community Engagement Team actively works with the public to provide open gyms, room rentals for private events, and meeting spaces for group activities within the community.

21st Century Community Learning Center

Our organization works alongside community stakeholders to offer a wide variety of specialized programs to help address urgent needs and barriers to academic success in underperforming schools.
